Join us for a prayerful pilgrimage led by the Episcopal Diocese of NH
in collaboration with the Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire
Friday, March 30 Beginning at 12pm Ecumenical Good Friday Service at St. John's Episcopal Church, with stations walk beginning at 1:30 pm.
Walk to 14 sites on the Portsmouth Black Heritage Trail as a part of the Episcopal Diocese of NH's Lenten Program conclusion - the Good Friday Stations of the Cross. By exploring these stories of the past at each site on the Trail, the event seeks to change hearts and minds to create a more authentic and compassionate future.
Clergy from all denominations are encouraged to join and vest for the event. The pilgrimage follows a 12:00 noon ecumenical Good Friday Service at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 101 Chapel Street in Portsmouth.
Free parking is available at Strawbery Banke. Please gather at the Liberty Flagpole on Marcy Street across from Strawbery Banke at 1pm. The Stations of the Cross will begin promptly at 1:30pm with an anticipated ending time of 3pm.
