Starting Monday, September 14, in Peterborough (All Saints' Episcopal Church), and Wednesday, September 16, in Concord (St. Paul's Episcopal Church), you can attend a ten-week series of lectures by Dr. Albert LaChance and Rebecca Goodwin. Dr. LaChance has witnessed the loss of core strength and calling power on the part of Christianity that can address the real needs of today’s culture.
This lecture and discussion series in both locations will run from 7 - 8:30 pm and will explore the content of LaChance’s own books, based on Teilhard’s and Father Thomas Berry’s thoughts. Both of these mystical teachers attempted to bring religion and science into mutual alignment to give us a vision for the future. Dr. LaChance hopes to continue this alignment by helping others to understand what needs to happen now, to provide the vision that can renew our own spiritual power.
Dr. Albert LaChance is a retired doctor of psychology. He began studying the work of Teilhard de Chardin in 1972 which led him to study one-on-one with Father Berry from 1984 to 1990. He is a frequent speaker on topics of spirituality, ecology, psychology, evolution and addiction. Rebecca Goodwin is a graduate of Harvard Divinity School, with a master’s in theological studies. She has taught world religions at the high school and college levels, and has worked with her father, Dr. LaChance, on each of his seven books, including The Third Covenant, which she co-authored with him.
All are welcome. The series is offered for free in both locations, but donations are accepted for charity.
